Is Family Book Creator going to be compatible with Family Tree Maker 2024?

The Software MacKiev Company has announced on February 10, 2024, a new major release of Family Tree Maker called FTM 2024. This version has not been released yet, but if you are using the current Family Book Creator edition, you may be wondering if FBC 2019 is compatible with FTM 2024 or not. We have some good news for you: FBC 2019 is going to be compatible with FTM 2017, FTM 2019 and FTM 2024 when it's released.

We are also pleased to announce that we are also planning to release a new major version of Family Book Creator. This new version will be called FBC 2024 and will work with both FTM 2019 and FTM 2024. Important: If you purchase a license for FBC 2019 now, that license will also be valid for FBC 2024. This means that the serial number you receive after your current purchase will also be valid for FBC 2024.

Family Book Creator users who purchased a license for Family Book Creator in 2023 or 2024 are entitled to get the upgrade to FBC 2024 for free. For users who purchased a license before January 2023 the upgrade fee is 50% of the standard product price.

The next update for Family Book Creator 2019 is a free maintenance release and includes several improvements and fixes and makes the product compatible with FTM 2024 on Windows. This still means that after installing FTM 2024 on your system, you will need to download the new update/installer package for Family Book Creator 2019. Then, please uninstall Family Book Creator 2019 and reinstall the product to integrate Family Book Creator 2019 with FTM 2024. (More details will be posted after FTM 2024 is available for installation).

Family Book Creator 2019 on macOS

The next update for Family Book Creator 2019 is a free maintenance release and includes several improvements and fixes and makes the product compatible with FTM 2024 on macOS. This means that after installing FTM 2024 on your system, you will need to download and install the latest installer package for Family Book Creator 2019.
